Troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA have rescued 49 travellers from Kano State who were reportedly attacked by suspected kidnappers in Zamfara State.
The travellers were returning from Senegal after attending a Maulud programme when their vehicle reportedly developed a fault while passing through the area.
According to security analyst Zagazola Makama, the suspected kidnappers attempted to abduct the travellers, but troops responded swiftly and rescued all 49 passengers.

The rescued travellers were later handed over to the Chairman of Tsafe Local Government Area, Malam Garba Shehu Fanchers, for immediate welfare and medical assessment.
Authorities are expected to facilitate their safe return and reunification with their families after the necessary checks.
