Troops of Sector 4 of the Nigerian military have arrested a man accused of impersonating a soldier at Tsamiya Checkpoint in Barama, Mubi North Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
The suspect was reportedly arrested at about 6:40 p.m. on September 27, 2026, while allegedly presenting himself as a military personnel.
Counter-terrorism expert Zagazola Makama disclosed the development in a statement shared on Tuesday.

According to Makama, preliminary investigations indicated that the suspect allegedly wore military uniform to deceive and defraud unsuspecting members of the public.
Troops reportedly recovered one mobile phone, one power bank and an MP3 player from the suspect.
The suspect remains in military custody as investigations continue, with further action expected after the investigation is concluded.
