The individuals were identified as Aliyu Bello, 30; Dahiru Umar, 25; and Bashar Isah, 29, all reportedly from Kwazari village in Kware Local Government Area.
They were said to be travelling on a motorcycle when security operatives stopped them on suspicion of involvement in criminal activities, including kidnapping and the collection of illegal levies from residents.
Items recovered from the suspects include a locally fabricated AK-47 rifle, a magazine loaded with 17 rounds of ammunition, two Dane guns, cartridges, and charms.
The weapons were reportedly concealed in a sack placed inside another bag to evade detection.
Security sources added that investigations are ongoing to identify and apprehend other members of the suspected criminal network, as well as to prevent potential attacks in the area.
