The Zamfara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has arrested and paraded three suspected criminals linked to motorcycle theft in the state.
In a statement released on Friday by the command’s Public Relations Officer, Assistant Superintendent Umar Mohammad, the arrests were made at different locations following credible intelligence reports.
Two of the suspects, Bashir Hassan (20) and Taminu Muhammed (25), were apprehended at Nassarawa Burkullu Market. They are accused of forcefully stealing a Boxer motorcycle from its rider while threatening him with a stabbing weapon.

The third suspect, Abdulrashid Abubakar, allegedly lured a motorcyclist to a location under false pretence before attacking him with a machete in an attempt to steal his motorcycle.
He was, however, arrested by NSCDC operatives before he could escape.
The command confirmed that all suspects are currently in custody and will be charged to court upon the conclusion of investigations.
Residents have also been urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to security agencies to help curb crime in the state.
