
A devastating fire outbreak has destroyed properties and equipment at an aluminum company and a residential building in Oyo State.
The incident involving the aluminum company occurred on Thursday at Km 110, Iyaganku area of Ibadan, where a building used as an office alongside an adjoining warehouse was completely engulfed in flames.
According to the Chairman of the Oyo State Fire Service, Maroof Akinwande, the fire was triggered by electrical sparks from an unattended appliance, which ignited nearby combustible materials and rapidly spread across the facility.

In a separate incident on Wednesday, a residential building in Ogbomoso also caught fire. Officials revealed that one of the rooms in the building was severely affected before emergency responders arrived.
Fire service personnel were able to contain both incidents and prevent further damage.
No casualties have been reported as of the time of filing this report, but the extent of property loss is significant.
