Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have arrested a 32-year-old man, identified as Modu Rayami, for allegedly supplying fuel and food items to Boko Haram/ISWAP fighters in Borno State.
The suspect was apprehended on July 27 at about 2:30 p.m. during an intelligence-driven operation carried out by troops of the 149 Battalion (Motorised), in collaboration with Hybrid Forces and members of the Civilian Joint Task Force.
The operation took place in Zowo village, located in Gubio Local Government Area.
Security sources revealed that the arrest followed credible intelligence linking Rayami to ongoing logistical support for insurgents operating along the Binduldul–Kareto axis.
Items recovered from the suspect at the time of arrest included five jerry cans of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), two jerry cans of palm oil, bags of salt, pepper, and garri, six bags of flour, seven bags of sugar, a sack of soft drinks, and a mobile phone. The supplies were reportedly intended for delivery to insurgent groups.

During interrogation, Rayami allegedly confessed to supplying both fuel and food items to Boko Haram/ISWAP fighters in the area.
Military authorities confirmed that the suspect, along with the recovered items, is currently in custody for further investigation and possible prosecution.
The operation, which concluded without any casualties, forms part of ongoing efforts by security forces to disrupt terrorist supply chains and cut off access to essential resources such as food and fuel.
Troops involved in the mission returned safely to their base at approximately 3:20 p.m., according to security sources.
