Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have arrested six suspected kidnappers operating around Soktu Hill in Song Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
The suspects were apprehended following credible intelligence on the activities of a kidnapping syndicate.
Troops, working with local hunters, raided the group’s hideout and initially arrested three suspects, recovering a Dane gun. Subsequent investigations and covert operations led to the arrest of three more suspects.
The military said preliminary investigations indicated that the syndicate had been operating around Soktu, Dumne and Maigero communities, with the suspects allegedly admitting involvement in several ransom kidnappings and other violent crimes.

Meanwhile, troops also received the surrender of a suspected Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorist at Borgozo in Benisheikh, Kaga Local Government Area of Borno State, on September 13.
The military recovered an AK-47 rifle, 14 rounds of ammunition, four magazines, an improvised explosive device, a magazine pouch and a bicycle from the surrendered terrorist.
The six suspected kidnappers and the surrendered terrorist remain in military custody for further investigation and profiling.
The military said the operations reflect its continued efforts to disrupt terrorist and criminal activities and restore security across the North-East.
