Police said Umaru also provided information linking the weapons to another suspected member of a gun-running network, identified as Dan Yarubawa, who allegedly gave him the firearms for delivery to another person outside Kwara State.
Authorities said efforts are ongoing to arrest other individuals connected to the suspected network and determine the full extent of the operation.
The Commissioner of Police, Ojo Adekimi, reaffirmed the command’s commitment to protecting lives and property and urged residents to provide credible information to security agencies.
