The village head of Lafagu in Bagudo Local Government Area of Kebbi State, Alhaji Sa’idu Mujeli, has reportedly been killed by suspected bandits during an attack on the community.
A community source said the incident occurred on Saturday when the attackers invaded the area and allegedly killed the traditional ruler.
Following the attack, residents, particularly those living around the Kaoje-Lafagu axis, reportedly fled their homes and moved to Bagudo town for safety.

The source also claimed that several members of the Fulani community had been killed in attacks in the area, adding that traditional rulers had also been affected by the violence.
The source appealed to the government and security agencies to urgently intervene, protect residents and ensure that those responsible for the killings are brought to justice.
Efforts to obtain comments from the Kebbi State Police Command on the reported incident were unsuccessful at the time of filing the report.
