Suspected bandits have reportedly killed a 28-year-old vigilante member, identified as Goyok Jamok, in Magi Mbar village, Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The incident occurred around 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 10, 2026, prompting troops of Sector 5, Operation Enduring Peace, stationed in Mbar, to respond.
The troops reportedly arrived at the scene and found Jamok dead from gunshot wounds, while the suspected assailants had fled upon sighting the approaching security personnel.

The victim’s relatives later evacuated his remains for burial.
