
A young politician and community mobilizer, Samuel Obe Ngobe, has been killed by suspected assassins who stormed a hotel in Ebubu, Eleme Local Government Area of Rivers State.
The attack occurred on May 22, 2026, when two armed men reportedly invaded the hotel owned by the deceased and opened fire on him.
Eyewitnesses said the attackers arrived on a motorbike, walked straight into the premises, and targeted the politician before shooting him multiple times at close range.
After carrying out the attack, the gunmen allegedly seized mobile phones from hotel staff in a bid to prevent them from alerting security agencies or calling for help.
