
Armed kidnappers abducted two residents and shot another during a late-night attack in Kobape, Obafemi Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State.
The incident occurred around 7 p.m. on Thursday when about four gunmen stormed a residential area. The attackers reportedly seized Kelvin Ayobami Moyegun and Kehinde Rufai, while Al-haqq Shobakin sustained a gunshot wound and was rushed to a private hospital in Abeokuta for treatment.
According to a relative of one of the victims, the attack began when a resident was preparing to leave his home and another person opened the gate. The gunmen confronted them at the entrance, but the driver managed to escape despite gunfire. Shobakin, who had opened the gate, was shot before the assailants fled with the two victims.

Security agencies, including the police, the Amotekun Corps and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, were immediately alerted, and search operations were launched to locate the abducted residents.
The Ogun State Police Command confirmed the incident, stating that the injured victim is receiving medical attention while operatives have been deployed to rescue the kidnapped victims and apprehend those responsible.
The attack comes amid ongoing efforts by security agencies to curb kidnapping in Ogun State following recent operations that led to the rescue of an abducted traditional prince and the killing of suspected members of a kidnapping gang.
