
A 27-year-old man, identified as Ali Haruna, has reportedly confessed to killing a woman after meeting her for the first time at a hotel in Adamawa State.
Haruna, who hails from Kaleri in Maiduguri, Borno State, but resides in Digno community in Fufore Local Government Area of Adamawa State, was arrested on Friday, August 14, in connection with the murder of a woman identified simply as Aisha.
According to reports, the incident occurred at a hotel known as No Vex, located in Girei Local Government Area.

During an interaction with journalists at the Adamawa State Police Command headquarters in Yola on Monday, the suspect allegedly admitted that he and the victim smoked Indian hemp and had sexual intercourse before the tragic incident.
Haruna further claimed that it was their first meeting.
The spokesperson for the Adamawa State Police Command, SP Suleiman Nguroje, confirmed that the suspect remains in police custody while investigations continue.
He assured the public that the suspect would be charged in court after the conclusion of the investigation.
Authorities have not yet released additional details regarding the motive behind the killing.
