
A woman has reportedly been killed in a hotel in Girei, a community on the outskirts of Yola, the Adamawa State capital, in a tragic incident that has shocked residents.
According to eyewitness accounts, the victim, whose identity has not yet been officially confirmed, was allegedly attacked by a man who had taken her to a hotel room earlier on Friday.
Sources said people around the hotel became alarmed after hearing a heated argument and sounds of a struggle coming from the room occupied by the pair.
Concerned residents reportedly forced their way into the room and discovered the woman lying in a pool of blood with a severe injury to her neck.

The suspect was immediately apprehended by members of the public before officers of the Adamawa State Police Command arrived at the scene and took control of the situation.
The victim’s body was later evacuated while police commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Confirming the development, the spokesperson for the Adamawa State Police Command said the matter had been reported to the police.
Authorities have yet to release the identities of both the victim and the suspect as investigations continue.
The incident has sparked concern among residents, with many calling for a thorough investigation and stricter security measures in hotels across the state.
