
A tragic road accident along the Yola–Song Road in has claimed the lives of six people, including a soldier and five bus passengers.
The crash occurred on Wednesday evening at the Murke section of the highway and involved a Hummer bus and a military patrol vehicle. The two vehicles were said to have collided while moving in opposite directions.
Eyewitnesses reported that the impact of the crash caused the Hummer bus to catch fire immediately. Five passengers inside the bus were trapped and died in the flames before help could reach them.

A soldier who was part of the military patrol vehicle also died at the scene of the accident.One other victim reportedly survived with serious injuries and was found unconscious at the crash site before being rushed to the hospital for treatment.
The Deputy Governor of Adamawa State, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta, who was passing through the area on an official trip, stopped at the scene and ordered immediate rescue efforts. Victims were later evacuated to the Specialist Hospital in Yola for medical attention.
Authorities are expected to investigate the cause of the crash as residents mourn the loss of lives in the unfortunate incident.
