Troops of Operation FANSAN YAMMA, working alongside personnel of the Nigerian Navy Special Boat Service (NN SBS), have arrested three suspected informants and logistics suppliers linked to the Lakurawa terrorist group in Kebbi State.
The operation, described as intelligence-driven, was carried out at about 10:45 a.m. on Monday, July 21, in Kangiwa Village, Arewa Local Government Area. It was executed by troops of the Combat Service Intelligence Brigade (CSIB) VII following credible security intelligence.
According to counter-insurgency expert Zagazola Makama, who disclosed the development via his X handle, the suspects were believed to be actively supporting terrorist operations by providing information and logistics to Lakurawa fighters operating in the region.

Security sources revealed that the arrest is part of ongoing efforts by Nigerian security agencies to dismantle the operational networks that sustain terrorist groups, particularly in the North-West.
The suspects have since been handed over to the Nigeria Police Division in Kangiwa for further investigation and possible prosecution.
Authorities say operations targeting informants and supply chains will continue as part of a broader strategy to weaken insurgent activities and restore security in affected communities.
