Scottish club Rangers F.C. are working to keep hold of promising defender Emmanuel Fernandez as Premier League sides Arsenal F.C. and West Ham United F.C. show growing interest in the young centre-back.
Fernandez, who joined Rangers from Peterborough United F.C. last summer, has enjoyed a rapid rise in Scotland. The 24-year-old has impressed with strong defensive displays and an unexpected goal contribution, scoring six times in 28 appearances.
His form has also earned him recognition at international level, with a recent call-up to the Nigeria national football team.
Rangers manager Danny Rohl has expressed confidence in the player’s development, urging him to remain at Ibrox for at least another season.
