The camps were also completely destroyed to prevent further use by criminals.
Police authorities confirmed that one suspect was arrested at the scene, while several others fled before the arrival of security operatives.
Efforts are currently ongoing to track down the fleeing suspects and bring them to justice.
According to the police spokesperson in the state, ASP Blessing Agabe, the operation followed directives aimed at strengthening security and tackling kidnapping across the state.
She added that security agencies are working closely together to ensure the safety of residents.
The police also disclosed that the recovered pump-action gun is believed to belong to a local vigilante leader who was reportedly abducted by criminals during a previous encounter.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police in the state, Olugbenga Adepoju, reassured residents of the command’s commitment to protecting lives and property.
He urged members of the public to support security agencies by providing credible and timely information to help fight crime.
