A major anti-crime operation carried out by security operatives in Lagos has led to the arrest of dozens of suspects and the recovery of motorcycles, firearms, illicit drugs, and other items believed to be connected to criminal activities.
The coordinated raid targeted several locations identified as criminal hideouts across parts of the state following intelligence reports linking the areas to robbery, cult-related violence, drug trafficking, and other offences. The operation was conducted by a joint team of police officers drawn from different tactical units.
During the exercise, officers apprehended numerous suspects for questioning and recovered about 150 motorcycles suspected to have been used for illegal activities or lacking proper documentation. Security personnel also seized several firearms, including locally made weapons, as well as quantities of illicit drugs and other suspicious items.
Additional exhibits recovered during the operation included mobile phones believed to be under investigation, suspected stolen household equipment, military-style camouflage clothing, and charms allegedly used by some criminal elements.

Police authorities said all suspects remain in custody while investigators work to determine their individual roles in the alleged criminal activities. Those found to have committed offences will be prosecuted in accordance with the law, while anyone cleared of wrongdoing will be released.
The police command described the operation as part of its ongoing campaign to dismantle criminal networks and improve security across Lagos. Residents were urged to remain vigilant and continue providing useful information that could assist security agencies in identifying and apprehending criminal suspects.
The command reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining similar operations in crime-prone communities, stressing that efforts to deny criminals safe havens and protect lives and property would continue across the state.
