The Ogun State Police Command has arrested seven suspects linked to alleged armed robbery, burglary, theft, and other criminal activities during separate operations conducted across different parts of the state.
The arrests followed intelligence-led raids carried out by officers attached to the Sango-Ota, Owode-Egba, and Agbado divisions as part of ongoing efforts to curb crime and improve security.
According to the command, three suspects were apprehended in connection with an alleged armed robbery incident in the Alasia area of Sango-Ota.
Investigators said the suspects were accused of attacking a resident and dispossessing the victim of valuables. During the operation, officers recovered a locally made firearm and an expended cartridge. Police said efforts were underway to apprehend other members of the group who remain at large.
In a separate operation in Ofada, police arrested a 22-year-old suspect over an alleged housebreaking and theft case. Preliminary investigations reportedly linked the suspect to a series of burglary incidents within a residential estate, where household appliances, cash, and other valuables were stolen.
