The Osun State Police Command has arrested four men in connection with the alleged burglary of a phone shop in Osogbo, where mobile phones valued at about N5 million were reportedly stolen.
The suspects were identified as Afeez Arole, 30; Salami Wahab Idowu, 49; Akanmu Afeez, 37; and Adebisi Taofeek, 47.
The incident reportedly occurred in the Oja-Oba area of Osogbo, the Osun State capital.
According to the police, the shop owner reported the burglary on September 1, 2026, at about 10 p.m., stating that suspected hoodlums had broken into his business premises and stolen several mobile phones.
The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abiodun Ojelabi, who disclosed this in a statement issued on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Zungura, said operatives immediately began efforts to identify those behind the alleged crime.

The police said a breakthrough came on September 22 when intelligence indicated that suspected members of the group had been seen around the Oja-Oba area.
Following surveillance and further investigation, operatives reportedly raided a suspected hideout and arrested the four suspects.
Two Itel mobile phones were allegedly recovered during the operation.
The complainant later identified the two phones as part of the devices reportedly stolen from his shop.
The police said the suspects had provided statements to investigators as efforts continued to establish their individual roles in the alleged offence.
Commissioner Zungura directed the investigating team to intensify efforts to recover more of the stolen phones and identify other persons who may be connected to the alleged criminal operation.
The command also appealed to residents to remain alert and promptly report suspicious movements or activities to security agencies.
