At least 13 people have been killed and several others injured in separate attacks on communities in three local government areas of Plateau State.
The attacks reportedly occurred on Sunday night in Jos South, Mangu and Riyom Local Government Areas.
Nine passengers travelling to Jos were killed after suspected terrorists opened fire on their vehicle at Dungus community in Jos South Local Government Area.
Rwang Tengwong, National Publicity Secretary of the Berom Youth Moulders, said the incident occurred at about 9:40 p.m. when the vehicle came under attack.
He said the victims were passengers heading to Jos when the attackers opened fire on the vehicle, adding that some injured victims were taken to hospitals, where some later died.
Tengwong also disclosed that one of those killed was a member of Operation Rainbow, describing the incident as a sad development.

In Mangu Local Government Area, suspected terrorists reportedly attacked Vodni community in Pushit District, killing two people. Four others sustained gunshot injuries and were receiving treatment at a hospital in Mangu town.
Another attack was also reported in Tahoos, Riyom Local Government Area, where two people were reportedly killed around the same period.
The latest incidents have heightened concerns over the security situation in parts of Plateau State, as residents continue to call for stronger measures to protect lives and property.
The Plateau State Police Command had not issued an official statement on the attacks as of the time of filing the report.
