Victor Osimhen
Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen has been officially cleared to feature in Sunday’s high-stakes Istanbul derby against rivals Fenerbahçe.
The Nigerian forward had raised concerns after playing with a protective arm brace during Galatasaray’s Turkish Cup defeat to Gençlerbirliği on Wednesday.
Following the match, Fenerbahçe lodged a formal complaint with the Turkish Football Federation, arguing that the protective gear could pose a risk to other players.

However, the complaint was dismissed after medical confirmation that the brace was necessary and had been duly approved in line with football regulations.
Osimhen is now expected to play a key role in the crucial clash, which could have a major impact on the Turkish Super Lig title race.
Galatasaray currently sit at the top of the table, holding a four-point lead over second-placed Fenerbahçe. The two sides played out a 1-1 draw in their first meeting of the season, setting the stage for a decisive encounter this weekend.
