One person has sustained minor injuries after a five-storey building under construction partially collapsed on Durban Street, Wuse II, Abuja.
The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) disclosed that it received an alert about the incident at approximately 6:30 p.m. on Saturday and immediately mobilised emergency responders to the scene.
According to the agency, the response involved the Federal Capital Territory Fire Service and its AYA Emergency Response Ambulance Bay team, which helped coordinate rescue operations.
NEMA confirmed that no lives were lost in the incident, while the injured worker was evacuated to a nearby hospital for medical attention.
The incident has renewed concerns over construction safety in the Federal Capital Territory, following previous building collapses in Wuse Zone 4 and the Durumi area of Abuja.
