Gyang, who arrived at the scene shortly after the incident, said efforts by people around to rescue the victims were unsuccessful because the fire was too intense.
He also alleged that the driver of the other vehicle fled the scene after the collision.
Efforts to obtain comments from the Plateau State Public Education Officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Peter Longsan, were unsuccessful as of the time of reporting.
The tragic incident has once again raised concerns about road safety and the dangers of road crashes, particularly when vehicles catch fire after collisions.
