
The President of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Engr. Ali Alimasuya Rabiu, FNSE, F.ASCE, FAEng, MFR has called on the government of Nasarawa State to put in place the machineries for the proper maintenance of the infrastructure delivered so far for the benefit of all Nigerians.
Engr. Rabiu made the call while leading the NSE Executive Committee Members on the first day of the tour of completed and on-going projects under the administration of the State Governor, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, FNSE on Tuesday, August 18, 2026.
Similarly, the NSE President charged the detachments of security personnel in the State to keep close watch on the delivered infrastructure so as avert vandalism. He equally charged the citizens to keep an eye on the delivered infrastructure and ensure they serve the general public adequately as intended by the government.
Also, during the tour, the President commended the new installations at the Faculty of Engineering, Nasarawa State University Workshops and Laboratories urging precision in the choice of practical aids in alignment with courses currently being undertaken.
Engr. Rabiu told the Dean of the Faculty, Engr. Prof. Emmanuel Kucha and the entire staff of the faculty who were on hand to receive the NSE EXCO to diligently groom the students in a manner that they would turnout as world class graduates of Engineering.

Earlier, during the visit to the lithium factory operated by Diamond New Energy Limited, the President commended their operations holistically charging them to ensure professionalism and environmental protection. He also charged the company to do more for the immediate Community and the entire State with regards to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
