At least nine people, including a pastor, have been killed in separate gunmen attacks across parts of Plateau State.
The attacks occurred between Saturday night and Sunday morning in communities within Barkin Ladi, Riyom and surrounding areas.
Five victims were reportedly travelling to Gana-Ropp in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area when their vehicle was attacked on Saturday night. According to local community leaders, the victims were labourers heading to the area.
In another attack at Dorowa Babuje on Sunday morning, two people, including a pastor, were reportedly killed while on their way to church.
Additional attacks were reported at Baten Wereng in Riyom Local Government Area, where a woman was killed, and at Ratyidi in Fan District, where another person reportedly lost their life.

Community representatives condemned the attacks and called on security agencies to intensify operations in the affected communities, identify those responsible and bring them to justice.
Meanwhile, several cattle were reportedly killed or stolen around Dorowa Maranba and the Kantoma axis in the early hours of Sunday.
Security concerns have reportedly increased in the affected communities following the latest incidents. Sources at the Plateau State Police Command said additional security personnel had been deployed to the affected areas to help restore calm.
Authorities had yet to provide a detailed official statement on all the reported incidents as of the time of filing this report.
