
Nigerian troops under Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) killed 152 terrorists and arrested 142 others, including suspected logistics suppliers, during operations across the North-East between August 1 and 31, 2026.
According to security analyst Zagazola Makama, the figures were contained in the operation’s monthly summary shared on Tuesday.
The report also revealed that 219 terrorists surrendered to the troops during the period under review.
In support of ground operations, the military conducted 10 successful air interdictions, targeting terrorist movements and logistics activities at different locations within the theatre.

The troops also neutralised nine improvised explosive devices (IEDs), preventing their potential use against military personnel and civilians.
During the various operations, troops recovered 58 weapons and explosive items, 1,184 rounds of ammunition and 16 mobility assets, including motorcycles, bicycles, tricycles and other vehicles reportedly linked to terrorist activities.
The military said the recoveries are expected to further weaken the firepower, mobility and operational capacity of terrorist groups operating in the North-East.
The latest figures highlight the continued military offensive against insurgent groups and their supply networks in the region.
