The Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Yakubu Danladi-Salihu, has expressed sympathy with the families of victims of a three-storey building collapse in Ilorin.
The incident occurred on Tuesday at No. 41 Popo Giwa Street, beside Gogoro Mosque, in the Ilorin West Local Government Area of Kwara State.
The collapse reportedly claimed four lives, while four other persons were rescued with varying degrees of injuries.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Sheu Yusuf, Danladi-Salihu condoled with the families of those who lost their lives and wished the injured survivors a speedy recovery.

The Speaker also commended the Kwara State Government and emergency responders for their swift intervention following the incident.
He noted that the prompt response of the rescue team contributed to the successful evacuation of four people who were initially trapped beneath the collapsed structure.
Danladi-Salihu described the incident as tragic and extended his condolences to all those affected by the disaster.
