The Nigerian Armed Forces have recorded significant operational successes across multiple regions, neutralising nine terrorists in Borno State and arresting six suspected kidnappers in Plateau State.
According to an official military operational report released on Friday, the achievements were part of ongoing coordinated offensives in the North-East, North-Central, and other theatres of operation.
The report revealed that the terrorists were eliminated during a precision airstrike under an Air Interdiction Mission codenamed Operation GUARDIAN.
The operation targeted three motorcycles conveying the insurgents around Mai Hisari Arege in Abadam Local Government Area of Borno State. The strike successfully destroyed the vehicles and neutralised all nine terrorists on board.
In a separate development, troops under Operation SAFE HAVEN apprehended six individuals suspected to be kidnappers and logistics suppliers to terrorist groups.

The suspects were arrested at a hospital in Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State, where they were reportedly receiving treatment for gunshot and machete wounds.
They are currently in military custody and undergoing further investigation.
The report further disclosed that a Fulani youth leader was arrested in Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State over alleged links to a recent attack on the Naridon community.
In Benue State, troops engaged suspected terrorists in Ukum Local Government Area, killing one while others fled. Items recovered from the scene included a locally fabricated pistol and a motorcycle.
Additionally, security forces responding to an attack on herders in Guma Local Government Area arrested a suspect accused of attacking a herder with a machete.
The injured victim has since been evacuated for medical treatment.
The military reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining operations aimed at restoring peace and security across the country.
