The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency has uncovered cocaine and methamphetamine concealed inside a bottle of Fearless energy drink being transported from Lagos to Ondo State.
The parcel was handed to a commercial bus driver in Lagos for delivery to Ondo State. The driver reportedly believed the bottle contained an energy drink and accepted it as a waybill package.
However, NDLEA operatives later discovered that the bottle had been used to conceal the illicit substances.
The agency’s Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, disclosed the incident in a post on his X page on Sunday.
According to him, the driver spent some time in custody and could have faced jail over the package found in his possession.

He advised those involved in parcel transportation to ensure they know what they are carrying, stressing that possession of illegal drugs could result in criminal liability.
