Tension is rising along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway following a dispute over a 3.5-acre parcel of land claimed by both the Faith and Miracle International Church (FMIC) and the founder of One Love Family, Satguru Maharaj Ji.
The disagreement has led to the arrest of five persons by the Oyo State Police Command.
FMIC General Overseer, Pastor Genga Faith David, said the church legally acquired the property and possesses a Deed of Conveyance and Certificate of Occupancy. He alleged that some church members were attacked after a crusade held on the disputed land, leaving some injured and hospitalised.

David appealed for police intervention to prevent the dispute from escalating into a religious crisis.
Maharaj Ji, however, rejected the church’s claims, insisting that the land forms part of his spiritual community, known as the Holy Land. He accused the church members of trespassing and said five of his security personnel were arrested after confronting them over their presence on the property.
Both sides have called for the matter to be resolved through lawful and peaceful means as concerns grow over possible escalation.
