Hon. Kenneth Ugwu, the councillor-elect representing Ozzi Ward 3 in Igbo-Eze North Local Government Area of Enugu State, has reportedly died barely one week after his election.
Ugwu was said to have attended a one-day retreat involving the Enugu State Governor, local government chairmen and other All Progressives Congress (APC) aspirants at the International Conference Centre, Enugu, about four days before his death.
According to reports, he left the venue during the retreat after complaining to colleagues that he was feeling unwell and experiencing an unusual sensation in his head. He reportedly informed members of a WhatsApp group before leaving the venue.
He was later said to have gone to a hospital on his own for medical attention. A source claimed that medical personnel at the facility discovered that he was critically anaemic and urgently required blood.
