A fire outbreak on Wednesday gutted a room on the top floor of a one-storey building on Oke Arin Street, Mushin, Lagos State, destroying household belongings.
The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) said its emergency team responded to the distress call at about 1:26pm and worked alongside the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service to contain the inferno.
The fire was eventually extinguished and the affected area dampened to prevent it from spreading to nearby buildings.

LASEMA said the cause of the fire had not yet been determined, while no casualty or loss of life was recorded.
The agency urged residents to observe safety precautions and promptly report emergencies through the toll-free numbers 767 or 112.
