
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested a Lagos-based socialite, Afolabi Kazeem, popularly known as KC Luxury, in connection with a cocaine consignment weighing 184.5 kilograms and valued at approximately ₦39 billion.
According to the agency, Kazeem was apprehended on August 13, 2026, at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos while allegedly attempting to leave Nigeria for Paris, France.
Speaking during a press briefing on Tuesday, NDLEA Chairman, Brigadier General Buba Marwa (Rtd.), disclosed that the suspect was arrested alongside Lawal Kehinde, an employee of a logistics company believed to be linked to the operation.
Marwa described the operation as the largest cocaine seizure involving a courier company in the agency’s history, highlighting the significance of the investigation.

According to the NDLEA chairman, the suspect was found in possession of expensive jewelry, ₦100,000 in cash, £2,800, and €7,750 at the time of his arrest.
The agency also revealed that several luxury vehicles were discovered during a search of KC Luxury’s residence in Banana Island, Ikoyi, Lagos.
“This cartel leader did not surrender voluntarily. He was preparing to leave the country on a business-class flight to Paris when our operatives intercepted and arrested him at the boarding gate of the airport,” Marwa stated.
The arrest is part of the NDLEA’s ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking and dismantle organized drug networks operating within and outside Nigeria.
The agency has indicated that investigations into the case are still ongoing, with further details expected as the probe continues.
