A mutilated body of a woman has been discovered near a stream in the Wildlife Park Forest Reserve in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The corpse was found around 9:30 a.m. on Thursday after security operatives were alerted about the abandoned body.
The woman’s family had reportedly launched a search after she failed to return home, before her body was discovered near a stream within the forest reserve. The corpse was reportedly found with machete injuries on the arm and face.

A staff member of the park said workers discovered the body and immediately contacted security operatives, who arrived at the scene and began an initial assessment.
Soldiers and other security personnel were later seen at the scene as investigations commenced to determine the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death and whether any criminal elements were involved.
