
A yet-to-be-identified motorcyclist has died following a lone crash along the Iperu-Sagamu Road in Ikenne Local Government Area of Ogun State.
The fatal accident occurred around 6:20am on Thursday in front of the Federal Government Girls College and involved a red Bajaj motorcycle.
The spokesperson for the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency, Babatunde Akinbiyi, confirmed the incident, saying the motorcycle was the only vehicle involved in the crash and the deceased was its sole occupant.
According to him, the cause of the accident had not been immediately established.
TRACE operatives and police officers responded to the scene, where the rider was confirmed dead. No injury was recorded.

The deceased’s body was subsequently evacuated to Idera Morgue, Tollgate, Sagamu, by TRACE officials and the police.
The motorcycle was also removed from the scene and taken into police custody for further investigation.
Akinbiyi added that the crash did not disrupt traffic on the route, as vehicular movement remained normal.
The incident comes amid a series of road crashes recorded across Ogun State in recent days, with at least three people reportedly losing their lives in separate accidents within the past week.
