
Rosemary Aduku, the councillor representing Ogugu Ward III in Olamaboro Local Government Area of Kogi State, has reportedly died after spending several days in captivity.
Her death was announced on Friday by the Chairman of Olamaboro Local Government Area, Dr Ameh Williams, in a statement issued on behalf of the local government’s executive council.
Aduku, popularly known as Hon. Rosella among her colleagues, was remembered as a humble, dependable and compassionate individual who was committed to bringing happiness to those around her.
In the statement announcing her death and burial arrangements, Williams expressed sadness over the loss, describing the late councillor as a valued member of the legislative council.
He said Aduku had made a positive impact on those around her through her humility and dedication, adding that her legacy would continue to be remembered.

The statement also offered prayers for her family, colleagues in the Olamaboro Legislative Council, members of the executive council and residents of Ogugu Districts as they mourned her death.
According to the announcement, her burial was scheduled for 1 p.m. on Friday at her family compound in Ogugu Centre.
Members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) were also invited to attend the burial and pay their final respects to the deceased councillor.
However, the circumstances surrounding her death after spending days in captivity were not detailed in the announcement.
