
The Borno State Command of the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) has confirmed the escape of an inmate from the Maximum Security Custodial Centre in Maiduguri.
According to a statement issued by the command’s Public Relations Officer, A.B. Thliza, the escaped inmate was identified by the name “John Isearl,” as indicated on the prison uniform.
The correctional service has called on members of the public to remain alert and assist security agencies with any useful information that could lead to the fugitive’s arrest.

The command urged anyone who spots the suspect or has credible information about his whereabouts to immediately report to the nearest police station, Nigerian Correctional Service facility, or any other relevant security agency.

The NCoS warned members of the public against attempting to apprehend the escapee, stressing that all reports should be directed to the appropriate security agencies.
