Nigeria’s Falconets have been drawn in a challenging Group F for the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, where they will battle Spain, China and New Caledonia for a place in the knockout stage.
The draw ceremony for the tournament was held on Friday in Lodz, Poland, setting up what promises to be another exciting campaign for the Nigerian side.
The Falconets, one of Africa’s most successful women’s youth teams, will be aiming to finally lift the trophy after finishing runners-up twice in previous editions of the competition.

Nigeria also holds the remarkable record of appearing in every edition of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup since the tournament began.
Spain are expected to pose the biggest threat in the group following their recent dominance in women’s football, while China bring experience and discipline to the competition.
New Caledonia, meanwhile, will be hoping to make an impact against the more established sides.
The 2026 tournament will be hosted across four Polish cities Bielsko-Biała, Katowice, Lodz and Sosnowiec with matches scheduled to run from September 5 to September 27.
Nigeria will now begin preparations as the Falconets seek to make history by winning the prestigious youth title for the first time.
