Jamie Carragher believes Arsenal could seal the Premier League title this weekend if they beat West Ham United at the London Stadium, following Manchester City’s surprise 3-3 draw with Everton. The former Liverpool defender said the Gunners are now in pole position and that a victory over Nuno Espirito Santo’s relegation-threatened side would be the decisive moment.
City’s late collapse at Hill Dickinson Stadium left them five points behind Arsenal, though they still have a game in hand. Carragher, speaking on Sky Sports, argued that the West Ham fixture is the only real obstacle left for Mikel Arteta’s team. “If Arsenal wins that away game against West Ham next Sunday, they will have won the league. The title will be secured. I believe that is the pivotal match,” he said. He added that while Arsenal should comfortably beat Burnley at home, the result at West Ham will determine everything.

Arsenal opened up a six-point gap after a 3-0 win over Fulham on Saturday, taking full advantage of their earlier kick-off. Manchester City struggled to respond and needed a stoppage-time goal to avoid defeat against Everton, leaving Pep Guardiola’s side chasing with little margin for error.
The Gunners have three matches remaining this season against West Ham, Burnley, and Crystal Palace as they chase their first league crown since 2004. Manchester City, meanwhile, face Brentford, Crystal Palace, Bournemouth, and Aston Villa in their run-in and will need to win all four to keep the title race alive until the final day.
