
Barcelona legend Andres Iniesta has officially stepped into management after agreeing to take charge of Gulf United FC in Dubai.
Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported that the former Spanish midfielder has reached an agreement with the UAE-based club, with official confirmation expected soon. The move marks Iniesta’s first coaching role since retiring from professional football.
Iniesta enjoyed an illustrious playing career at Barcelona and with the Spanish national team, winning multiple league titles, Champions League trophies, and the World Cup and European Championship. He is widely regarded as one of the finest midfielders of his generation, known for his vision, composure, and match-winning performances.

Gulf United, founded in 2019, currently compete in the UAE First Division. The club earned back-to-back promotions in 2022 and 2023 but has struggled this season, sitting 10th in the 15-team table with 25 points from 26 matches.
