The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has announced the venue for the official commencement of its 2027 presidential campaign.
The party disclosed that the campaign kickoff would take place at its secretariat along Ilorin Road, Sokoto State, on Wednesday.
The announcement was made by the Sokoto State Presidential Campaign Coordinator, Senator Ibrahim Lamido, who said preparations were already ongoing for the event.
Lamido stated that the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, was expected to arrive at the Sultan Abubakar III International Airport, Sokoto, by 9 am.
He called on party supporters and members of the public to welcome the former vice president at the airport before joining other participants at the campaign venue, located at No. 1 Ilorin Road.
The coordinator also directed party executives across the 23 local government areas and wards, mobilisation coordinators, support groups, women and youth organisations to mobilise their members for the event.

The ADC had earlier withheld information about the campaign venue, citing security concerns. The party also alleged that it was denied access to public facilities and logistical assistance ahead of the event.
Meanwhile, Atiku had accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Department of State Services (DSS) of plotting to disrupt the party’s inaugural presidential campaign.
The APC, however, denied the allegation.
