How I balance fame with public attention- Actress Ifeoma Nebe

Nollywood actress and former beauty queen, Ifeoma Nebe, has made it clear that she does not tolerate crossed boundaries, especially from male fans who become overly persistent in their quest for her attention.

Speaking in an interview the Enugu State-born actress shared how she balances fame, public attention and her personal peace in an industry where visibility often comes with unwanted intrusion.

Nebe explained that she approaches such situations with firmness and honesty. According to her, being direct saves time and unnecessary stress. “I’m a very straightforward person. I calmly tell them I have no intentions, and if they persist, I block them. I don’t over-explain myself. In fact, I don’t even open most messages. I really dislike stress, especially from stubborn male fans,” she said.

Beyond discussing fan attention, the actress also revealed a new outlook on life as she looks ahead to 2026. Unlike previous years when she carefully outlined goals and expectations, Nebe said she has chosen to take a more relaxed and faith-driven approach.

“I’ve decided not to set expectations for 2026. Every year, I write resolutions and goals, but this time, I’m going in blind. Whatever comes, I’ll deal with it and thank God. I want to let life unfold peacefully. Maybe 2026 will surprise me in beautiful ways,” she noted.

The actress also took the opportunity to address young people, encouraging them to build a personal relationship with God rather than relying solely on inherited beliefs or routine religious practices.

“People need to experience God for themselves, not just through their parents or church services. When you do, you’ll understand that everything in life has its season, and that makes life easier,” she said.

Reflecting on her personal growth, Nebe admitted that her journey required starting afresh. “I had to relearn life from the beginning—read books, study life, and schedule personal moments with God. Once you let go and allow Him to take control, you’ll be amazed at the boundaries you can break,” she shared.

She further advised against undue pressure and comparison, stressing the importance of patience and inner peace. “Don’t rush life. You need patience, faith, and peace within yourself,” she cautioned.

Nebe concluded with an Igbo proverb that continues to shape her mindset and ambitions: Onye kwe, chi ya ekwe — “If you agree, your God will agree.”
