The Katsina State Police Command has arrested a 27-year-old man, Sada Tambai, over the alleged killing of his 80-year-old father, Adamu Tambai, in Mundadu Village, Bindawa Local Government Area.
According to the police, the incident occurred on September 21, 2026, after a distress call was received that the elderly man, a former Ward Head of Mundadu, was found lying motionless in front of his residence.
Police detectives reportedly rushed to the scene and took the victim to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Preliminary investigations led to the arrest of his son, who allegedly confessed during interrogation to hitting his father on the head with a stick, causing the injuries that resulted in his death.
The suspect has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation. Police said he would be arraigned after the investigation is concluded.
The Katsina State Commissioner of Police, CP Ali Fage, ordered a discreet and thorough investigation into the case.
