
Fresh attacks have been reported in Southern Kaduna as suspected terrorists killed four persons and abducted 11 others in separate incidents across Kachia and Kajuru Local Government Areas of Kaduna State.
Despite alleged attempts to suppress reports of ongoing violence in the region, residents continue to speak out, providing eyewitness accounts that highlight the worsening security situation.
According to information gathered from local sources, the attacks occurred between Saturday and Monday in multiple communities.
In Kachia Local Government Area, gunmen stormed Mafofadiya and Zagom Mazuga villages between Sunday and Monday.
During the invasion, a resident identified as Joel Dauda was killed, while several others were abducted.
Those taken include Leo Bakut, Kefas Hilary, Vitoria Leo, Cristiana Jeol, Iseal Joel, Hannatu Iseal, and Isreal James.

Similarly, in Kajuru Local Government Area, attackers struck Kallah and Kufana villages between Saturday and Sunday. Two residents, identified as Jagora Dabo and Misali Adamu, were confirmed dead in Kallah village.
Tragically, the pregnant wife of Jagora Dabo and their children were among those abducted during the attack.
Reports also indicate that another individual was killed in Kufana village, although the identity of the victim has not yet been confirmed.
The latest wave of violence has heightened fears among residents, who say communities in Southern Kaduna remain vulnerable to persistent attacks, kidnappings, and killings.
There are growing concerns that the true scale of insecurity in the region is being underreported.
Residents are calling on security agencies and government authorities to intensify efforts to protect lives and property, while also questioning the effectiveness of existing strategies, including dialogue and rehabilitation initiatives aimed at curbing banditry.
As tensions continue to rise, affected communities remain on edge, urging swift and decisive action to bring perpetrators to justice and restore peace to the region.
