Veteran Nollywood actor, Jim Iyke, has raised concerns over what he describes as internal sabotage within Nigeria’s film industry, stating that it remains one of the biggest obstacles to its growth.
Speaking during an interview with the BBC, the award-winning actor did not hold back, asserting that many individuals within Nollywood actively undermine progress.
According to him, if given the opportunity to change one major issue in the industry, he would eliminate what he termed “saboteurs,” noting that such individuals often hinder collaboration and success.
“If there is one thing I would love to change about Nollywood, it would be to purge saboteurs from the industry. The industry is full of saboteurs. They can’t help themselves. They need therapy,” he said.
