
A 28-year-old Nigerian woman, identified as Esther Egbuhama, has been arrested by the Ghana Police Service for allegedly operating a brothel in the Ashanti Region.
The suspect was apprehended on Sunday, April 19, 2026, during a coordinated raid by officers of the Manso Nkwanta Police Command.
The operation followed intelligence reports pointing to suspected illegal activities at a facility known as Mama Nice Lodge, located in Manso Watreso.
According to a statement released by the police on Monday, the raid formed part of ongoing efforts to clamp down on criminal operations within the area.

Egbuhama was arrested at the scene and taken into custody at the Manso Nkwanta Police Station, where she is currently assisting with investigations.
Police authorities disclosed that several individuals believed to be connected to the alleged operation fled the premises before officers arrived.
The Ashanti South Regional Police Command reiterated that operating a brothel is a criminal offence under Ghana’s Criminal Offences Act.
They added that investigations are ongoing to identify and apprehend other suspects linked to the case.
