Real Zaragoza goalkeeper Esteban Andrada has been handed a 13-match suspension by the Spanish football federation after punching an opponent during a heated derby clash.
The incident occurred in a second-tier match between Real Zaragoza and SD Huesca last Sunday. Andrada, who had already been sent off, struck Huesca defender Jorge Pulido in the face, sparking a mass confrontation on the pitch.
According to the federation’s disciplinary committee, the 35-year-old goalkeeper received a 12-match ban for violent conduct, with an additional one-match suspension following his red card.

The punishment effectively rules him out for the remainder of the season.
The altercation began after Andrada shoved Pulido and was shown a second yellow card.
Moments later, the Argentine international lost his temper, ran back toward Pulido, and punched him, igniting a brawl among players from both sides.
The fallout extended beyond Andrada. Huesca goalkeeper Dani Jimenez was suspended for four matches, while Zaragoza’s Dani Tasende received a two-game ban for their roles in the incident.
The match ended in a 1-0 victory for Huesca, a result that further dents Zaragoza’s hopes of avoiding relegation this season.
Reacting after the game, Andrada expressed regret over his actions, admitting that his behavior reflected poorly on himself, the club, and its supporters.
Real Zaragoza also condemned the incident, describing the scenes as unacceptable and unworthy of the sport.
