A 20-year-old man, Umar Abdullahi, has died after a fight involving youths in Rahamanu Village, Aujara District, Jahun Local Government Area of Jigawa State.
The incident reportedly occurred around 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 23, 2026.
The Public Relations Officer of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Jigawa State, ASC Badruddeen Tijjani, confirmed the incident in a statement.
According to him, the Aujara Divisional Office received a distress call from a member of the Fulani community about the fight, prompting NSCDC personnel to move to the area.
Two people were found seriously injured and were taken to the Primary Health Centre in Aujara for treatment.

Umar Abdullahi, who was from the Rahamanu Fulani settlement, later died while receiving medical attention.
The second victim, identified as 19-year-old Sule Adamu from the same settlement, remains at the health facility and is responding to treatment.
Police officers attached to the Aujara Division have arrested two suspects in connection with the incident.
The NSCDC said investigations are ongoing to determine what led to the clash and establish the identities of everyone involved.
